Food, Fellowship, Celebrations and Wedding!

Our time together this past week was a little taste of Heaven for me. Wednesday evening we shared together in The Lord’s Supper service, sharing a fellowship meal before our time of understanding and dedication to Christ preparing us for Resurrection Sunday. Then came Saturday morning as Carolyn and I watched the eclipse of the blood moon from the parking lot of the church looking west and then I joined the men and boys for a wonderful breakfast and sharing time {Daniel’s words of devotion were a special encouragement to me} and our meetings of the Deacons, Trustees and Finance committee; seeing what God is doing in our fellowship, buildings and finance is astounding! Then we moved on to Bible Study and Worship on the morning of our Lord’s Resurrection well, it was just wonderful. Nancy’s special music was almost too much for me. Then if that weren’t enough, Sunday evening as we celebrated Corbin Thompson’s baptism and the looking at prophetic events being fulfilled in our day made it an almost perfect day.
Along with that, our family celebrated three birthdays this past week: Monday evening we celebrated Mickey’s 45th and Benjamin’s 26th birthdays {March 27&28} (sorry you missed Benj) in a cookout in our back yard with 31 of us here. What a party! Then Saturday evening we celebrated Daniel’s Birthday at the Atzbach home with 51 in attendance… what an amazing time!
What I am saying is our time was almost all taken up in celebrations….almost like our time in Heaven?!
This next two weeks will be even more filling: Along with the normal activities of outreach/inreach Tuesday and Wednesday evening prayer and Bible study, we will have the Gross/Crabtree wedding rehearsal Friday evening and their wedding Saturday at 4:00 p.m. it should be some celebration! And beginning April 17 – 22, I will be involved with Daniel’s revival at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Chateau along with my brother Buck, John Wiley, Dave Kelley and Chester Webster. It almost seems Biblical when you hear our Lord’s Words concerning the last days: Matthew 24:37-39But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.’
The only difference is: We know the time in which we are living and we are watching for our Lord to come! Are you living and watching? See you Wednesday or sooner….Bro. Wayne
