Summertime and building!

It’s Monday morning as I write this article. It is 7:22 a.m. It is a beautiful morning with rain coming our way again. I do believe this has to be one of the best spring/summer time I can remember {summer began yesterday} although it is pretty warm and very sticky with all the rain and humidity, I still can’t help but praise the Lord for the beautiful mornings we are having! My garden is growing {my corn is almost eight feet tall!} tomatoes are all over the vines and potatoes are growing like a jungle! The mowing is finished for a couple of weeks and one of my hens has hatched out three chicks with two to go! Life is good on the Keely Ponderosa!
We had 129 in Sunday school and although the worship crowd did not get counted it was absolutely full! Our building project needs to be underway soon. We should hear from our Architect anytime now and with the process of getting permits from the City of Claremore, it shouldn’t be long now. We are moving ahead on our finances for building debt free with money coming in every week designated for the building. Will you pray and give as God leads you in your part of the building process? Rehoboth is your church and your part will bring blessing to you and Glory to God as we, together see Him bring our church into completion of the building process.
II Corinthians 8:1-9 ‘Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.’
There is no doubt that God shows Himself mightily to whosoever believes in Him and walks by faith, trusting their own lives to Him.
Pray for us that His will might be done.

Construction, Construction, Construction!

Vacation Bible School is over for another year. All of the planning, praying and working came to fruition and was manifested Sunday evening as we watched our children singing and praising Jesus through song and crafts! What a job all of you did to bring such joy and happiness to our kids! Thank you to each and every youth and adult that gave of your time, talent and labor to make this year’s VBS a roaring success! I was blessed!
I am certain that anyone who drives by can see the construction on King Road. The temporary driveway will be in place this week and by next Sunday we will be using this alternate drive to enter our property. I am not sure how it will all work but I keep telling myself it will be temporary. Construction is supposed to be completed by September this year. I will believe it when I see it!
At the same time work on the plot plan and the architectural drawings for our own building project are progressing. The drawings should be ready to present to our building contractor and then off to the City of Claremore for their approval. Our building fund is also growing. We are presently moving toward a start of construction as we expand our auditorium for additional seating. Although many of us are giving, it is time to pray and seek the Lord for your part of this project. We will all have to sacrifice to build ‘debt free’ as we have declared we will do!
You will see the preliminary plans and a visual of where we are and where we are going in the foyer near the front door. The project is needed and is quite attainable if we will all have an open heart to accomplish this work for our God. ‘So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.’ Nehemiah 4:6 It is a matter of believing that the work is truly of God and then giving your heart and efforts to accomplish this great work. God’s blessing will be upon those of us who sacrifice financially and physically as He directs us.
I hope you will pray and give as God leads….it will then be done and God will receive the glory!
Summer is in full swing; just a few weeks of time until it will be gone. Don’t waste these precious days God has given us.
